Volunteer and help support the Sharks!

Brief History

The North Dandenong Junior Football Club began in 1968.  The Club's home ground was in a paddock behind the Wooranna Park Primary School, with a tent as a change room!

When Lois Twohig Reserve was built adjacent to the school, the Council granted temporary use of the grounds.

Initially, the reserve was built to support women's sporting activities, however as none of local women's sporting groups applied to use the ground, the club was granted permanent access and has remained there ever since.

On 30th July, 1971 the very first Committee was formed to establish the North Dandenong Junior Football Club.

Key Milestones

1971 - First Season in the League
1979 - The Gerry Sweeting pavillion was completed.
1985 - The club became incorporated and the lights were installed around the ground.

The club is a proud supporter of all children, irrespective of their gender or cultural background.  It is a voluteer based club supported by the many countless hours provided by the committee, parents, and the many volunteers who regularly lend a hand.

North Dandy Sharks Club Song

Who are, Who are, Who are We?
We are the Sharks from North Dandy
We Play Rough
We Play Tough
We wear Maroon and Black
